A Chat with Kellogg's Admissions Director

The school's ascent in the rankings may make it all the more difficult to get in. Find out if the admissions committee will be looking for anything different in its applicants this year.

Even in this toughest of job markets, Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management came through with flying colors, keeping recruiters happy and landing an impressive 91% of its MBAs jobs three months after graduation. That vital combination propelled the Evanston, Ill. B-school back to the top of BusinessWeek's MBA Rankings, where it hadn't been since 1992.

Last year, with application volume soaring, only 13% gained admission to Kellogg. The teamwork-centric school's ascent in the rankings may make it all the more difficult to get in. So will Kellogg's admissions committee look for anything different in its applicants this year? Ask Michele Rogers, Kellogg's director of MBA admissions, when she joins us for a live online chat Wednesday, November 13, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET.

Rogers, an assistant dean who also oversees student academic affairs for the full-time MBA program, earned an MBA herself from Harvard Business School (No. 3 in BusinessWeek's Top 30). The Williams College grad has work experience in Corporate America and the consulting sector. She's also directed admissions for Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism. Rogers can answer all of your questions about the often-mystifying and frequently frustrating world of MBA admissions.

Come chat with Rogers live at 3:00 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, November 13. Your co-hosts for this chat are Jack Dierdorff (BWJack), consulting editor of BW Online and former managing editor of the magazine, and Brian Hindo (BrianBW), BW Online's reporter covering management education.

Hope to see you there!

BusinessWeek Online rotates chat days and times every month so that everyone has a chance to tune in. If you can't attend a live event, you can always read the transcript that we post afterward.
