AMERICA WEST ON BOARD FOR NFL EXPERIENCE, SUPER BOWL

TEMPE, ARIZ--America West signed a "high, six-figure deal" consisting of cash and in-kind service to be official airline of Super Bowl XXX. America West is headquartered in Tempe, site of the game. Jacobus, sr dir of corporate sponsorships at NFL Properties, said the airline will promote via in-flight plus local print and transit ads. America West also is one of 10 associate sponsors of the NFL Experience, the league's interactive theme park situated next to Sun Devil Stadium. The NFL has been unable to find a year-round airline sponsor since switched its budget in early '95 to its Olympic tie-in.
