Camera clips on notebook computers.Navigation: Main page Author: Unknown Section: News trends
Smaller than the face of a business card, Panasonic Computer Peripheral Co.'s clip-on notebook camera attaches to the display of a notebook computer and plugs into a PC-card slot. Laptop users can send video e-mail and conduct video conferences with the Secaucus, N.J., company' s portable camera. It produces images with 542 X 497 resolution and 300 TV lines. The camera swivels up to 40° when clipped on the left side of the display and tilts up to 120° for framing a person's face. The camera has full duplex sound. The headset and camera connect to a conference card which plugs into any PCMCIA Type II slot. Because the camera draws its power from the card, a separate adapter is not needed.
