Cypress Adds Auto ISO Certification.Navigation: Main page Author: Unknown Online staff
Cypress Semiconductor has won certification from the International Organization for Standards/Technical Specification (ISO/TS) -- 16949:2002 for the automotive industry. The San Jose-based company already holds an all-production site ISO 14001:2004 certification. The rigorous process for the new certification included a third-party audit, performed across all shifts at Cypress facilities to verify robust business and quality systems, the company said in a statement. "The ISO/TS 16949 certification attests our commitment to Cypress's zero defect quality principle, and reinforces our philosophy of establishing enduring business processes that link directly to customer requirements," said Sabbas Daniel, executive VP of quality. "With its focus on process and quality planning, TS provides us with a framework to drive toward the ever higher standards of performance that our customers have come to expect from us." Further, the company said the new certification -- which includes Cypress's assembly and test facility in Cavite, Philippines and its U.S. wafer fabrication facilities in Bloomington, Minn; Round Rock, Texas and San Jose -- confirms Cypress's ongoing commitment to the automotive market. in the Fair Use guidelines of the 1976 U.S. Copyright Act. info [at] singlearticles.com Powered by CommonSense |
