Announces Award Winners
The Florida
Watercolor Society held its 34th annual exhibition at the Leepa-Rattner
Museum of Art at St. Petersburg College, in Tarpon Springs, from
September 18 through October 30. To celebrate the exhibition, the mayor
of Tarpon Springs, Beverly Billiris, proclaimed September 2005 "Florida
Watercolor Society Month."
Roughly 100 pieces of
artwork were on display for the show, and among those receiving awards
were Elizabeth Zebrowski, who won the Susan Lattner Lloyd Gold Award
for her painting An Anticipated Surprise; Dianne Nance, who won the Guy
Beat-tie Award for Striations; Ken Austin, who won the Winslow Homer
Award for As Evening Falls; and Anne Jacob, who won the American
Artist/Watercolor Magazines and H K Holbein Award for her painting
Northern Lights.
