Revlon launches the Holiday 2002 season's 007 Color Collection, inspired by the newest Bond film release, “Die Another Day,” featuring Oscar-winning Best Actress and Revlon spokeswoman Halle Berry. Berry stars as the bold, beautiful and provocative Jinx. She is the newest addition to an illustrious group of Revlon models who have also made their marks as Bond girls.

Lois Chiles, who played sultry scientist Holly Goodhead in “Moonraker” (1979); Kim Bassinger, who played sensual Domino Petachi in “Never Say Never Again” (1983); Grace Jones, who portrayed problem-eliminator May Day in “A View to a Kill” (1985); Talisa Soto, who portrayed exotic Lupe Lamora in “License to Kill” (1989); and Carey Lowell, who played spirited pilot Pam Bouvier in that film have all appeared in Revlon advertising campaigns. In an interview with Halle Berry, AmNews Trends gets the insider's beauty scoop.

RMW: Halle, how do you feel about being the newest Bond Girl, Jinx, in the upcoming “Die Another Day” and starring as the face of the 007 Color Collection by Revlon?

HB: For me, being a Bond Girl is not only an exhilarating experience, but also a terrific opportunity to play a woman with the kinds of qualities that I truly admire intelligence, independence and assertiveness blended with a sexy attitude and a great sense of style. And because the 007 Color Collection from Revlon captures this same spirit with a fabulous array of colors and unique products, I couldn't be more thrilled about starring in the campaign. Being a Revlon model has been an important part of my life and career. The fact that I am able to synergize this with my role in “Die Another Day” is truly rewarding.

RMW: Tell us more about Jinx and how The Look of Jinx from the 007 Color Collection by Revlon plays up her attributes.

HB: Well, let's just say that in terms of the “seduction factor,” Jinx is more capable of keeping up with Bond himself! Her style is all about being self-assured and sexy " and she's not at all shy about expressing it. She shows plenty of skin and favors a sizzling color palette that is The Look of Jinx. Jinx carries what I'd call a “license to entice,” and The Look of Jinx definitely gives any woman her own copy of that very desirable license.

RMW: What's your favorite overall look from the 007 Color Collection by Revlon?

HB: I have several. One of them is the sultry approach embodied in The Look of Jinx, Using colors from this story, I'd go for a hit of Hot Pursuit Pink on lips and nails. I absolutely love pink! It looks sexy with a wash of soft neutrals from the Wet/Dry Eye, Shadow Quad in Jinx on the eye and a bit of Triple Agent Color Stick in Berry Avenger on the cheeks to give my face a subtle blush.

Another one of my favorite looks from this collection is a sleek, shimmery theme from The Look of Miranda Frost. For a sense of cool sophistication, the key here is a light, almost transparent coat of iridescent color on the eyes, lips, nails and cheeks. I'd opt for Iced Lilac on lips and nails, with All Over Glow in White Out as a highlight on face and shoulders and Wet/Dry Eyeliner in Stormy to bring just a touch of a smoky drama to the eyes.

RMW: what's on your list of musthave items from the 007 Color Collection by Revlon?

HB: That's another great thing about this collection. There are so many new items that incorporate modern and exciting new products and packaging. If James Bond were a woman, he would love this stuff. Among my top picks would have to be the Lash Fantasy -a dual-ended lash primer and mascara; the Triple Agent Color Stick, a 3-in-l color for lips, eyes and face; and the Lip Gloss and Glitz, another dual-ended product for the lips.

RMW: How about a hot holiday party look from the 007 Color Collection by Revlon?

HB: Depending on what I'm wearing, I can easily put together a sexy face from either one of the looks - or from one of the Look of Bond gift sets [retailing for $9]. If I'm going with a curvy, out-and-out sexy number " perhaps a low-cut, form-fitting dress in a warm shade of coral or pink " I'll pair it with soft lips and eyes from The Look of Jinx. On the other hand, if I choose something more shimmery and light - maybe a satiny ice-blue bustier paired with a ball-gown skirt in chiffon " I'll go with frosty, translucent highlights from The Look of Miranda Frost. For the ultimate holiday party outfit, a black dress is always exquisite, always modern and always right. I'll reach for one of The Look of Bond sets " maybe the red lips-and-nails statement in the “From Russia With Love” set or the all-gold story from the “GoldenEye” set.

RMW: What about fragrance?

HB: As part of The Look of Jinx, Revlon is launching a new cologne spray called Be Unforgettable " and I have a feeling that it's going to be the fragrance to wear this holiday season and beyond. It's modern, sexy, fresh, sophisticated and spontaneous all at once, and I love it.

RMW: Is there a look or color from the 007 Color Collection by Revlon that you can recommend for more casual, at-home-with-the-family part of the holiday?

HB: As anyone who knows me can tell you, spending time with my family " during the holidays or any day, for that matter "is my favorite activity. And while I may not do a whole “face” for those days when it's just me and my nearest and dearest hanging out during the holidays, I'm sure I'll put on a little something. For a little bit of warmth and color on the cheeks, maybe a touch of Swirl Blush in Jinx. For a hint of shine on the lips, I will use a swipe of Lip Gloss and Glitz in Peach Freeze.
