IndustryBrains Expands Paid Listings to RSS Feeds.Navigation: Main page Author: Van Camp, Scott
Business-based paid-listing ad firm Industry Brains this week announced that it would now syndicate its paid listings to publishers who use RSS-driven content feeds to readers. RSS is used by online publishers to deliver news and story content to users who have opted in to a particular topic. Users have the ability to specify content topics, which are then sent to them via RSS feed. The user then clicks to the main Web site to access the full content. "As more and more people turn to RSS to gather news and information, we want to meet them with listings resources than helps them contact advertisers with product offers that match their RSS content interests," said IndustryBrains CEO Erik Matlick. "This is a natural extension of the paid listings service we now provide for scores of Web sites." IDG's Infoworld and CMP Media's Techweb Network are the first to implement the IndustryBrains listings as part of their category specific RSS syndication. New York City-based IndustryBrains claims 2,000 paid listing advertisers in the IT category. ~~~~~~~~ By Scott Van Camp in the Fair Use guidelines of the 1976 U.S. Copyright Act. info [at] singlearticles.com Powered by CommonSense |
