On May 19, being BOBBY BROWN was one busy job. At Atlanta hot spot Insomnia, he celebrated his nephew's new band Blood Money, filmed material for his reality show Being Bobby Brown-and contested some serious rumors about wife WHITNEY HOUSTON. Calling recent tabloid stories of his wife's drug use and brain tumor diagnosis "a pack of lies," Brown told Insider that "my wife is wonderful.… She is fine." And recent reports of impending divorce? "We are … working on our relationship," he said. "I look in her eyes and I see God." Oddly enough, Brown spent most of the evening with his sister TINA BROWN, the source for the stories. Said Brown: "[My wife] and my sister are close."

People were dancing on the furniture just to catch a glimpse: NICK LACHEY chatting up NATASHA BEDINGFIELD in a cozy back corner of Boston's Foundation Lounge in the early-morning hours May 21. Alas, there wasn't much more to see. "They were sitting next to each other, but there was no evidence [of a] relationship," says club owner George Lewis Jr. Indeed, Lachey, 32, and Bedingfield, 24-who traded numbers at a TEEN PEOPLE party in March-"are good friends and that's it," insists a source close to the singer. (His rep had no comment.)

UMA THURMAN turned out for the Jivamukti Yoga Center opening in N.Y.C. May 17. Says her brother (instructor) DECHEN: "Uma can balance really well."
