Lew's Puts Your iPod in Your Pocket

Forget carrying cases. Levi Strauss' RedWire DLX jeans will let you be attached to your iPod at the hip--literally.

Sure, the denim giant's new design features a built-in iPod docking cradle. But it also has a retractable headphone unit to manage iPod's earphone cords and a joystick remote control in the watch pocket that makes it easy for wearers to play, pause, track forward, track back, and adjust the volume without taking their iPods out of their pockets. Just don't toss out those cases yet. The jeans, which will be available for both men and women, aren't scheduled to hit the shelves until this fall.

Robert Hanson, Levi's U.S. brand president, said that the new jean "provides consumers with the most innovative way to enhance their portable, digital music lifestyles."
