The Minnesota Shopping Center Association has announced its annual STARR winners. STARR, which stands for Shopping center Tribute Awards for Retail Real estate, recognizes outstanding projects and people in the retail and shopping center industry.

Winners were as follows:

* Interior design: restaurant/food service - Tryg's Restaurant

* Interior design: retail/non-food service - Kowalski's Market

* Design and aesthetics: retail under 50,000 square feet - Market Street Station

* Design and aesthetics: retail 50,000 to 250,000 square feet - Nicollet Plaza

* Design and aesthetics: shopping centers over 250,000 square feet - Silver Lake Village

* Development process - Argonne Village

* Renovation/remodel - Crystal Shopping Center

* Redevelopment - Shoppes at Lyndale Green

* Mixed-use - Fulton Lofts

* Shining STARR - Tedd Schuster, Madison Marquette

* Award of Excellence - Mike Scott, United Properties

* Member of the Year - Bill McCrum, Cuningham Group Architecture

* Committee Members of the Year - Cynthia Hable, Kraus-Anderson Cos., and Tom Madsen, Benson-Orth Associates Inc.
