The Minnesota Shopping Center Association will present its annual STARR awards on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The STARR awards, which stand for Shopping center Tribute Awards for Retail Real estate, will be presented for interior design for restaurants and retail; for design and aesthetics for retail and shopping centers; for the development process; for renovation and remodeling; for redevelopment; and for mixed-use projects. The Shining STARR award winner, the group's committee member of the year and the member of the year also will be recognized. The event will be held at the Midland Hills Country Club, 2001 Fulham St., in St. Paul, starting with a cash bar at 4 p.m. and followed by the awards presentations at 5 p.m. and a holiday party at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60 in advance and $75 at the door.
