HOW TO
| NOLLIE HEELFLIP WITH CHAD TIM TIM |
ADVANCE
First, you're going
to want to know how to nollie, and your search for info on that subject
should lead you to studying the skateboarding of Paulo Diaz, Matt
Field, and my good friend, Danny Montoya.
- Now that you have a grasp on the
nollie and the proper time to pop it when doing it off something, know
that the nollie heel almost requires a scissor approach during the pop
and flick--as your front foot goes down with pressure more toward the
heel side of your board, your back foot should be flicking almost
simultaneously and toward the toe edge.
- Once the board is in its rotation, make sure your feet are out of its way …
- … but not for too long, as you'll need to stop with your front foot--catch that wood!
- With both feet on the board and over the bolts, prepare for the landing by bending those knees.
- Keep it loose and let your knees be your
friend as you land. Roll away, and think about where you'll be taking
this one to next.
To take your skateboarding skills to the next
level be sure to check out the latest instructional video from
TransWorld SKATEboarding, Show Me The Way, where Chad solves the
problem of popping out of nosegrinds, and don't forget his full part in
the latest 411, Volume 13, Number 3!
