Shop around for car insurance.Navigation: Main page Author: Leven, Pam
The Consumer Federation of America estimates that, overall, the cost of car insurance dropped almost 3% last year and should drop another 4% this year. Cars with safety features and security devices often qualify for discounts. If your "car-less" child attends college more than 100 miles from home, your auto insurance savings can be substantial. Some insurance companies also offer discounts to motorists who drive fewer than a predetermined number of miles per year. If your car is worth less than $1,000, collision and/or comprehensive coverage are probably not worth the premiums since any claim you make would substantially exceed annual cost and deductible amounts. You can find your car's value in the online Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com) or through auto dealers and banks. Models that are expensive to repair or that are favorite targets for thieves have much higher insurance costs than others. ~~~~~~~~ By Pam Leven in the Fair Use guidelines of the 1976 U.S. Copyright Act. info [at] singlearticles.com Powered by CommonSense |
