The Society of Industrial and Office Realtor® has selected Robert J. Staniforth, president of the St. Louis chapter of SIOR, as regional director for the Midwest USA region. As regional director, Staniforth will serve a two-year term and will be a member on the national board of directors for SIOR. He is responsible for the Midwest USA region, which includes chapters in Chicago, western Missouri and Kansas, St. Louis and Wisconsin. Each regional director was selected by a committee of former officers and regional directors and went through a formal interview process. Currently, Staniforth is a vice president with Grubb & Ellis|Krombach Partners in St. Louis. "This year, the St. Louis chapter initiated a charitable giving program, and it is one of my personal goals as regional director to help individual chapters in the region establish charitable giving programs," said Staniforth in a news statement. "I believe that the members of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors have been blessed to be a part of the commercial real estate industry, and we have a responsibility to give something back to our respective communities." Staniforth has been a member of the SIOR St. Louis chapter for nine years. In 2005, he was elected to serve as president of the St. Louis chapter of SIOR. He has served as vice president and treasurer and was co-chair of the Metro Market Forecast in 1996. In addition, he has been an active part of the chapter's corporate sponsorship committee, public relations committee and several other committees. Staniforth is a member and past president of the Clayton Ladue Rotary Club. With more than 2,200 members in 450 cities and 20 countries, the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® is the leading professional commercial and real estate association.
