WEST NETS ANOTHER CAREER FIRST

Kanye West notches his first No. 1 as a lead artist on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with “Gold Digger.” And thanks to 77,000 copies sold in digital downloads, “Gold Digger” also continues its streaks atop Hot Digital Songs and The Billboard Hot 100 for a second week. However, digital track sales are not a factor on the R&B list.

West first reached the summit on this cahrt as a featured artist on “Slow Jamz” with Twista and Jamie Foxx last year. Foxx rejoins West on “Gold Digger,” and the two more are also paired at No. 58 on the lead single from the actor’s upcoming album.
