Why I love my car

Bryan O'Quinn
Classic Chrysler Windsor
Durham, N.C.

I have to say that I love my car because of the incredible styling that was built into it by its designer, Virgil Exner. And I love the fact that it's older than I am and it's still all factory-original and going strong! My car is a 1960 Chrysler Windsor. Her name is Pearl.

Jennifer A. Macey
Ford Explorer Sport Trac
Kane, Pa.

I love my 2001 Sport Trac. It looks hot in island blue, and it is so functional for work and play. Got my canoe rack on top; bikes and camping gear fit in the back bed; backseats fold flat for dry-hauling too. Manual transmission means off-roading is fun. Interior space is good for tall women! Ford supports causes close to my heart, like the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure and environmental-impact improvements, and now they have taken the step forward to support LGBT causes. I'd rather put my money with Ford because of their ethics and drive to improve their community relations. Looking forward to their F150 with a hybrid engine or other environmental improvements!

Gary L. Parker Jr.
VW Beetle convertible
Chandler, Ariz.

I have a 2003 Beetle convertible. It is harvest moon with a matching leather interior and a black top. I have the Human Rights Campaign equal sign on the rear bumper. All my friends say it is such a cute car, and I get lots of strangers telling me the same thing. I love to ride around with the top down and the iPod blasting--fun in the sun!

Drusilla Quilley
Subaru Forester
Wilmington, Del.

Small, sporty, SUV, safe, serious, spacious, steadfast, sturdy, stable, secure--Subaru. (Subaru Forester owner since 2000; three cars)
